Three students at Horace O'Bryant School earned $100 each for passing their industry certification exam in Key Applications during the 2015-2016 school year. Isabel Cruz, Finn Saunders, and Julia Niles were three of the fourteen students who completed the exam and earned an industry certification.
We want you to be part of the team. There are many ways to help us reach our goal of student success at Horace O’Bryant. You can volunteer, join PTA or SAC, or you can sponsor a classroom. Sponsoring a class earns recognition for your contributions and support through the school website, the classrooms and district recognitions.
If you would like to Sponsor a Classroom, please complete the bottom portion of the sponsorship form and return it, along with the money, to the classroom teacher or the bookkeeper in the office. You determine the amount you wish to sponsor. Your support of education is greatly appreciated. Click below for sponsorship form.

FOCUS Student Portal is now available! Students can sign onto FOCUS through the link on the
district and school websites under Students – FOCUS Student Login, using the same credentials that they use to sign onto networked computers. First initial last name with 44 LUNCH NUMBER 0 (that’s 44, the 5-digit lunch number, and a zero – no spaces) as the password. So a student named Ann Jones with lunch number 99999 would sign on as ajones as the login name and 44999990 as the password. Some students may have a 1 or other number at the end of their name.
PLEASE NOTE: the FOCUS login name is NOT the same as the Google account login. The Google account uses the @keysstudents.net. Their FOCUS login is just the first initial and last name (no @....).
The FOCUS Parent Portal is expected to be available in mid-September. There will be a registration process for parents to have their own accounts to access the portal. With that account, they will be able to view student grades and attendance. A single account will be used to access information on all students in a family.

The Monroe County School District Division of Career and Adult Education congratulates Patricia, William, Christian, Hunter, Kiersten, Nicholas, and Ariadna for passing their IC3 Key Applications exam and earning their first industry certification. With the support of their teacher, Phillip Baucom, these 7th graders have worked countless hours to ensure student success and understanding. The IC3 Digital Literacy program ensure that students are prepared to succeed in a technology-based world. IC3 Global Standard 4 (GS4) exam objectives are aligned with today's most current technologies and relevant digital literacy requirements, including social media, collaboration, and cloud computing concepts. The GS4 certification is comprised of three individual exams and is designed to validate competency in three key areas: Computing Fundamentals, Living Online, and Key Applications. This is the first year this opportunity has been provided to middle schoolers and there are currently 10 students districtwide who have earned this certification. We expect to have more 6th and 7th grade students certify before the end of the school year.
